Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.
Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.
The substance had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they added.
Police then discovered numerous other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.
Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.
Officials say initial examinations suggest the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no lead as to its origin; investigators are presently not informed of any injuries in association with the incident," they added.
Local authorities stated they were trying "to resolve the case" and have requested to the community for details.
A senior political figure stated the vandalism left him without words and needed to be solved rapidly.
"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he stated on a platform, referring to the murder of nine victims by a gunman targeting individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
