2K Brings Onboard Apex Legends Producer to Rescue Challenged Hero Shooter Ambitious Title

The renowned publisher has secured a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to direct the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently developing the anticipated over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.

Management Change Follows Mixed Feedback

The new appointee steps into the leadership position at 31st Union following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' lackluster initial reveal last fall.

On Wednesday, 2K president a key figure informed staff about this decision through an internal memo, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had revealed the need for a clearer vision.

The president stated that the team is now refining the project with a revised approach, aiming to address player expectations.

A Pattern of Strategic Hires

The news echoes a similar step taken by 2K Games in August, when they hired Rod Fergusson from Blizzard to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
